ACADEMIC / BUILT WINDOW DISPLAY

Human Nature is a built window display exploring the blurred boundary between the human body and the natural world. Bark, moss, flowers, butterflies, layered scenery, and concealed lighting gradually transform the mannequin into part of the landscape.

CONTEXT

The installation was created to promote Fotografiska New York’s Human Nature exhibition through a physical window experience.

APPROACH

We treated the mannequin as landscape rather than figure. Natural materials climb, cover, and interrupt the body until the distinction between person and environment begins to disappear.

OUTCOME

The finished window turns the exhibition’s central idea into something visible from the street.
